Dog CafesCentral Area

Cloudmills

Located at 1 Claymore Drive, Cloudmills is a modern, Japanese-influenced bakery that introduces a unique "restaurant approach" to its baked goods. A standout feature of this establishment is the use of a binchotan, or white charcoal, grill to prepare proteins for its savory items, infusing them with a distinct smoky flavor. This innovative technique is applied to a variety of fillings, such as unagi and pork belly, which are then incorporated into their freshly baked breads. The bakery's menu, developed in consultation with MasterChef Singapore Season 1 runner-up Genevieve Lee, is centered around five core bakes: doughnuts, sankaku salt bread, madeleines, laminated pastries, and shokupan. Cloudmills offers a diverse selection of over 25 sweet and savory items daily, each crafted to be a complete dish in bread form by combining proteins, sauces, pickles, and herbs. The compact and modern space is primarily designed for takeaways, with the binchotan grill visibly positioned at the entrance, allowing customers to witness the preparation of their orders. For those wishing to enjoy their purchases on-site, there is a limited alfresco seating area for about 10 guests, furnished with beer crates and camping chairs. This grab-and-go establishment provides a unique culinary experience in the heart of Orchard Road.

On a visit to Paper Rice at Star Vista, I decided to try their much-talked-about Waterfall Pho. The verdict? It's undeniably an experience — but whether it's worth S$35 really comes down to what you're after. The Waterfall Pho is as much theatre as it is a meal. Thin slices of premium Wagyu beef are flambéed tableside in a dramatic burst of flame, then doused with a rich, slow-simmered beef bone broth. That broth — cooked for a full 16 hours — delivers a deep, savoury complexity that lingers. The rice noodles are smooth and springy, soaking up every drop without turning soggy.

Dinner at Kanpai 789 gave me two unforgettable treats: incredible food and the most squishy, teddy-bear-like pup, Dan Dan. When the owner let me hold him, I was completely enchanted—he felt so warm and snuggly against me, and with my Teddy by my side, my heart swelled to twice its size. I was grinning like a fool, utterly smitten. On top of that, everything we ate was delicious: the Fivefold Fiesta and Seafood Ahijo were total winners, and their Thai Milk Tea & Yuzu Fizz was the perfect refreshment. What a wonderful night!

We visited on a Sunday that happened to be Singapore's National Day. The place was packed, and unfortunately, most of the main dishes had already sold out—so we made do with a selection of their desserts instead. That said, Tembusu itself is a gem—a beloved casual-dining spot nestled within the lush greenery of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Housed in a charming colonial-era bungalow, it offers a serene escape from the city while serving up local comfort food with a modern twist. With its open-air terrace overlooking the gardens, it's a favourite for breakfast, afternoon tea, or a relaxed lunch surrounded by nature. And here's a bonus for pet owners—it's pet-friendly indoors with air‑conditioning, so you and your furry companion can dine in cool comfort. Even with just desserts, the tranquil setting made for a quintessentially Singaporean garden experience and gave us the perfect excuse to return for the mains. A Heartwarming Experience at Brewerkz East Coast Park – Highly Recommended! We've enjoyed Brewerkz East Coast Park many times before, but this visit truly raised the bar all thanks to the incredible team there. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Sasi, whose genuine smile immediately set the tone for a wonderful evening. Our server, Desmond, was equally attentive and friendly – both of them checked on us regularly without being intrusive, and their warmth truly made us feel like valued guests. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, and we left with full hearts (and full stomachs!). Now, let’s talk about the food – everything we tried was delicious: · Truffled Scallop Pasta – light and savoury with no heavy cream sauce, which let the delicate truffle aroma and perfectly seared scallops shine through. Clean, elegant, and very satisfying. · Truffled Wild Mushroom Pizza – crispy thin crust topped with earthy mushrooms and drizzled with truffle oil. Every bite was savoury, aromatic, and absolutely moreish – a definite crowd-pleaser. · Spicy Chicken Satay – perfectly grilled, tender, and packed with flavour. The peanut sauce was rich and addictive. The ambience at East Coast Park is always relaxing, with a lovely breeze and a great view, but it was the exceptional service from Sasi and Desmond that made our visit truly memorable. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and their cheerful energy was contagious. If you’re looking for great food, cold beer, and a team that genuinely cares about your experience, Brewerkz East Coast Park is the place to be. We’ll definitely be coming back – and we hope to be served by Sasi and Desmond again! 5/5 stars – thank you for a wonderful evening!

Love the dirty. Was so delicious we had 2 cups. The basque cheesecakes were very delicious too. Love that they allowed pets up their chairs with a mat rather than making pets sit on the ground. If you dont have a mat, it’s fine too as they shared that after use, they will wipe down the chairs for the next customers but we’d recommend bringing your own mat cus we want to be responsible and help society be more accepting towards having pets around right?

Even at dusk, the air hangs thick and heavy—but that won't stop dinner. With your portable fan humming and a mountain of tissues at the ready, here's how we roll: Hainanese Satay 👍 Charcoal-kissed chicken skewers, slightly blistered from the fire, dripping with smoky marinade. Paired with a thick, peanut-laced dip that begs for double-dipping. Signature Chicken with Liver 👍👍👍 Soy-braised to glossy, caramelized perfection, with velvety liver that melts on the tongue. Deep, dark umami—best tackled in small, blissful bites. Lala Clam Soup 👍👍 A shimmering, herb-flecked broth that arrives steaming but drinks like a cool ocean breeze. Briny, restorative, and your only liquid savior against the heat. Prawn Paste Chicken Wing Golden, crackling, and perfumed with that unmistakable fermented shrimp aroma – it promised everything a sticky-wing lover could crave. But the first bite delivered an unexpected jolt: a sharp, citrusy tang that cut right through the savoury depth. Too much lemon (or calamansi?) had thrown the balance off, turning what should have been a bold, caramelised punch into a sour letdown. Beautiful to look at, intoxicating to smell – but sadly, the taste didn't quite live up to the hype.
