We had a wonderfully relaxing lunch at The Alkaff Mansion with Teddy, who gave it four paws up. The weather cooperated for once, and the pet-friendly indoor area even comes with fans—because nothing says luxury like a breeze while your dog judges your food choices. Built in 1918 as a weekend escape for Syed Shaikh bin Abdul Rahman Alkaff, the mansion once hosted glamorous high-society parties in the 1930s. These days, it hosts us—plus Teddy—which is arguably a bigger honor.
